The Brightelm team has been on the move throughout a busy season in the events calendar, with callings in Harrogate, London, Birmingham, Frankfurt, and Copenhagen for a string of client meetings, networking events and conferences. It’s been a busy stretch, but a rewarding one, full of great conversations, fresh ideas and a lot of valuable face time.
Our Business Development Manager Chris and I took the helm at the Brightelm exhibition stand at Memcom Conference last month.
Memcom 2025 tackled what it will take for membership organisations to thrive over the next decade. Conversations circled around identity, trust, and relevance, with a strong sense that the future belongs to communities that feel personal, purposeful and built to last.
This is the spirit we worked towards on our own patch of the conference. It was a great opportunity to catch up with friends and peers between the insightful roster of sessions and discussions throughout the day.
And as it was Chris’ first time attending as an exhibitor, he wanted to share some insight of best practices for others also taking the plunge to manage the stand for their organisation.
You can read his 10 tips here.
On social media you may have followed the prize giveaway we hosted. It was a simple way to spark a bit of fun, but it also helped us start conversations with other attendees and bring new contacts into our sales funnel. If you’re exhibiting, we’d recommend trying something similar to add energy to your stand and create an easy opening for engagement.

It’s a win-win! Here’s how it worked:

Elsewhere, Senior Project Manager Jon attended this year’s IMEX in Frankfurt. This was a great opportunity to meet with various destinations, agencies, associations and event partners from across the world. He attended as a hosted buyer, with a particular interest in meeting with event technology providers to find out the current trends in the market and what platforms were doing to keep pace with the growing demands of event planners. Jon came away with some new contacts and a deeper understanding of the opportunities for building the perfect event stack for Brightelm clients.
Chris was also lucky enough to stop by Copenhagen for some client work in May.

The Meetings Show is next on our agenda and myself and Chris are very excited to be attending at the end of June. I’d love to hear about what projects you have in the pipeline, or just have a catch up!

All the best,
